Games

After giving much thought, let's have 3-4 games instead.

Treasure Hunt and Pass-The-Marble may not take up 1.5 hours.

Let's have Captains' Ball too.

The goldfish idea was rejected primarily due to philosophical and religious grounds.

It is not fun to play with lives. There will be people who are against the idea of playing with lives for human entertainment.

Buddhism is also against such acts. According to its teachings, every life is sacred.

Let's be sensitive to these people. Let's have fun, but not at the expense of lives.

I also encourage creative modification of the games.

Do set the rules as clearly as possible for understanding.

Captains' Ball

There will be 2 teams competing with each other.

1 person will be appointed from each team to be the captain.

The captain 's priority is to grab the ball. Once the ball is grab, the team scores 1 point.

The game will last for 10 minutes. The team with the highest score wins.

Teams will fight for championship. The team that beats everyone gets the most points.

The teams for fight for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. Points will be given accordingly.

RULES:

1.
The players are not allowed to take more than 2 steps once he/she grabs the ball.
2.
The captain is not allowed to move around, but stay at opposite ends, on a bench/chair.
3.
Once the player holds the ball, the player owns the ball, therefore, the opposing team is not allowed to snatch it away until the player throws the ball.
4.
The captain must remain at the designated location, otherwise, no points will be accumulated.
5.
No fighting allowed.

POINTS:

1st: 100points

2nd: 75points

3rd: 50points

4th: 25points

Treasure Hunt

There will be 4/5 teams. Each team will be given a location sheet.

At the location, there will be questions.

The team will answer the questions.

The questions can be related to the seminar topics.

Shurn and Leslie will decide the questions.

The first team that returns get the most points.

(Alternative Idea)

Instead of giving points for the first team that returns, assign multipliers to the team.

For each correct answer, the points will be multiplied by the multiplier.

POINTS:

Speed (Time of return)

1st: 100points

2nd: 75points

3rd: 50points

4th: 25points

Each correct answer: 10points

Pass-The-Marble

Each team will be required to pass marbles from point A to point B.

Each player will be strategically stationed at different points to transfer the marbles.

Obstacles will be provided to increase the level of difficulty.

The team that is able to pass all the marbles fastest wins.

RULES:

1.
The marble must not touch the ground/floor
2.
The marble must not touch the person/player
3.
The marble must not be kept inside the cup but be held at the bottom of the cup.
4.
Players are allowed to hold 2 cups (max).
5.
Players are not allowed to step outside their designated area.
6.
Team must follow strict instructions
7.
Any breaking of the rules will result in deduction of points or disqualification.

Possible Obstacles:

1.
Table
2.
Gap
3.
Chair
4.
Bench
5.
Maze

Seminar

Let's try to make the seminar as graphical as possible.
